Windmill and period gaff rigged sailing boat on one side, Dutch countryside and windmills, houses on other side
Vraag
Without a specific mark, and I’m a novice in this field, I’m trying to establish if this is authentic. The inscription means ‘New Star Beer’ in Indonesian and the ‘feel’ is aged, of around Dutch East Indies turn of last century.

Bintang is an Indonesian Beer Brand, owned by the Heineken beer company. The brand exists since 1957. Many similar beer mugs are around in the Netherlands, mostly with the Heineken brand on it. They were some kind of marketing product in the sixties/seventies. Probably not real Delftware, but made in Holland nevertheless.

Thanks very much for the information - the mug will still be much cherished, if for nothing else but the amusement at my hope!
Best wishes

Analysis:
As user JBakoele wrote already, this is not an original antique Delftware mug. I learned something from him too because I didn’t know about the Heineken branding in the late 50’s. 😁
Thanks very much for the clarification - I had the outside hope that this might be one of those pieces that didn’t have a specific manufacturer signature/brand/numbering/marking. Hope springs eternal and I’m now a bit more informed!
thanks! P
