I have two! Is this a piece of Dutch Delft? And what does the design in the centre represent? (To my eyes, it looks more like a Christmas decoration than anything else.)

I think these plates are French. I can't see the decoration very clearly, but I don't think it had anything to do with Christmas. This plate can probably be dated in the second half of the nineteenth century.
