NKI

NKI (Netherlands Ceramics Industy / Nederlandsche Keramische Industrie) was founded in 1947 and remained active until 2001 in Gouda. The firm produced handpainted pieces in the 'Delft style' and with Art Nouveau decorations. From 1980, production was expanded with plates and tiles applied with transferprint.

From the mid-70s, the mark with the letters NKI forming a dotted crown was used. Pieces in the Delft style are often signed with the words 'Delfts Blauw' to indicate the inspiration for the design.
