The Royal Bonn mark was used between 1890 and 1919 by the factory of Franz Anton Mehlem in Bonn, which was founded in 1836.
Throughout the years, different marks have been used, that have been applied in different ways. Often they included a stylised monogram of the letters FAM, that look like a AA or AN.
In 1920 the company was bought by Villeroy & Boch. The factory went bankrupt in 1931.
