Bord van Johannes Knotter? - Porceleyne Fles

Johannes Knotter was eigenaar van de porceleyne fles van 1697 tot en met 1701, het design van dit bord staat ook online maar in polychroom en niet in de kleuren die ik heb.   • Not made in Delft The term Delftware is only used for earthenware actually produced in Delft. Read more
  • More recent production technique After 1850, factories in and outside Holland developed more efficient and cheaper production techniques. This goes beyond the scope of this website. Read more
  • Hand-painted An important characteristic of authentic Delftware is that it is hand-painted. Printing techniques do not occur on this earthenware. Read more
  • Possibly false mark It is not always possible to confirm whether a mark is authentic, as ‘older’ marks were added to earthenware in the 19th century. Read more
  • Unidentified mark Not all marks found on earthenware have been identified. It could be a ‘new’ Delft mark! But it could also be a mark that was not used in Delft. Read more

Het betreft hier helaas geen oud Delfts bordje, maar een mogelijke imitatie. Het merkteken van Knotter is niet bekend, maar wat wel duidelijk is, is dat dit bordje niet rond 1700 is gemaakt, We kennen dit soort kopieën uit Noord-Frankrijk van rond 1900. Het spijt me de brenger van minder goed nieuws te zijn. 

Bedankt voor uw bericht, helaas is het niet echt maar ik had al een klein vermoeden. Hopelijk neemt de verkoper het bord nog terug.

In mijn speurtocht naar Knotter kwam ik onderstaand kopie tegen, misschien leuk om te weten?
