Delft Plate31 May 2023

Hello,

This plate is made in Delft by the Porceleyne Fles and the decoration is called Sandelfo. Painted by Herman Sanders in 1973 (year code CS). Nice find!

Kind regards,

Patrick

Delft tile1 May 2023

Hello,

It is indeed a tile made in Delft, it’s  manufactured by the Porceleyne Fles and I think this could be called a Jacoba Cloisonné Tile. Probably around a 100 years old, early 20th century.

Kind regards, Patrick

Beste Franky,

Ik denk dat het niet authentiek is helaas. Het ziet er meer uit als een 19e eeuwse reproductie met een vals merk.

Hi Annette,

They are not authentic Delftware I’m afraid. Most likely made in France in the 19th century and they have a fake mark.

Kind regards,
Patrick

Plate Société Céramique Maastricht?28 April 2023

Hello,

As you already found out, it is indeed made (handpainted) by Société Céramique Maastricht in probably the 1950s. Please see: https://delftsaardewerk.nl/bekijken/voorwerp/kaatje1/3919-aardewerk-met…

Het SC-monogram werd vermoedelijk gebruikt tussen 1925 en 1955 (A. Polling, Maastrichtse ceramiek, Merken en dateringen, Lochem 2006, p. 104).

"The SC-monogram was probably used between 1925 and 1955"

Kind regards,
Patrick

Hello,

I am afraid it’s not authentic as you already suspected with a fake mark.

Kind regards, Patrick

Hello,

The other initial is from Mr. J. v.
Lijnschoten (employed between 1889-1935).

The Dutchman on your plate is Frans Hals.
