Impressed symbols on base of foot which is decorated. Mark on cup interior with letters D and V (or VV) the word DELFT

This item is not Delftware. We are aware of one other piece with the same mark, also featuring brass, which can be seen here: Delfts Blauwe Gaslamp. Unfortunately, the mark itself remains unidentified so far. Given the German clockwork mechanism, we suspect the item may have a German origin.
