Dit indrukwekkende tegeltableau is in ieder geval geen authentiek Delfts. Er waren door de eeuwen heen vele tegelfabrieken door heel Nederland en meestal lieten ze bij het gieten een merk aan de achterkant van de tegels achter. Soms kunnen we aan de hand van een schildersmerk ook informatie achterhalen, maar ook dat zien we nu niet. Dus het blijft een beetje de vraag of de fabriek in Delft stond of ergens anders.
