Vase

2 vases, 1 is in very poor condition (broken and repaired)

Vraag

Is it a genuine 'de Klaauw'? Can it be dated? What is known about the mark? What is in the picture? There is a bhudda like figure.

Dear Roelof,

Unfortunately they are not authentic Delft vases by de Klaauw but late 19th/early 20th century French copies with a fake mark. A few giveaways are the craquelé in the glazing and the dark colours blue.

Kind regards, Patrick

  • Claw False

Thanks Patrick!
