Boch and Nijs, often referred to as BN, is a Dutch pottery factory known for its blue and white ceramics. The factory was founded in the 19th century and has a rich history of producing high-quality pottery. The factory was established in 1883 in the city of Haarlem, Netherlands. It was a collaboration between the Belgian manufacturer Boch and the Dutch entrepreneur Nijs. The collaboration aimed to combine the strengths of both founders: Boch's experience in ceramic production and Nijs's knowledge of the Dutch market. Boch and Nijs is especially known for its traditional blue and white designs, which are often inspired by Dutch and East Asian motifs.Over the years, the factory has undergone various changes and has ultimately closed. The exact closing date may vary, but production decreased in the second half of the 20th century.
