This is a gourd vase made in Zuid-Holland in Gouda. Also called Plazuid. It says hand-painted, but this is partly a stencil and painted by hand. Mid 20th century.

With regards to whether this is a special piece: in general we can say that when a piece is not entirely handmade, it is because the production process was designed for serial if not mass production of a type of ceramic. Perhaps this gives you a bit of an idea
