This has nothing to do with Delft pottery. Clearly German made. You may be able to determine the origin via Google.

Dit heeft niets van doen met Delfts aardewerk. Is duidelijk Duitse makelij. Mogelijks kunt u via google de herkomst bepalen.

kind regards Franky

Verdict:

  • Not Delftware

Analysis:

  • Not made in Delft The term Delftware is only used for earthenware actually produced in Delft. Read more
  • More recent production technique After 1850, factories in and outside Holland developed more efficient and cheaper production techniques. This goes beyond the scope of this website. Read more
  • Mark is stamped Marks on antique Delftware are always hand-painted. Stamps were not used until the late 19th century. Read more
  • Mark of a non-Delft pottery/factory The typical Delftware also inspires producers outside of Delft, but genuine Delftware has only been produced in Delft. Read more

I believe this plate is made by Rosenthal Continental (the mark states the capitalised R.C.), which still produces porcelain to this day. It is based in Germany, I linked a page to its history here. The Delft mark stamped on the bottom of your piece here therefor is a reference to the style of Delftware, rather than it being Delftware itself. Other than that I could find that this is possibly from the Savoy line and could be a salad plate? Unfortunately, this is out of the scope of this website, so perhaps you can find more information somewhere else. Good luck!
