Blue and white egg cup with unusual bottom.

Vraag

I don't see the mark in any online research I've done. Is there anything unusual about this piece?

this one is made at the Zenith pottery factory in Gouda. Originally a pipe factory that later changes to blue and white earthenware to Delft's décor. The factory was closed in 1984.

Very often egg cups, windmill"s a.o. were made as Holland souvenir.

  • Hand-painted An important characteristic of authentic Delftware is that it is hand-painted. Printing techniques do not occur on this earthenware. Read more
  • Mark of a non-Delft pottery/factory The typical Delftware also inspires producers outside of Delft, but genuine Delftware has only been produced in Delft. Read more
