Dutch boy carrying a pail next to a well. The word Scheveningen across the pants. This piece has been in my family for at least 73 years.
Vraag
How do I determine the value of this piece? I believe it was brought from Germany and sold to my grandfather by its owner, who needed money, I think maybe during the depression. My grandfather died in 1948-49.

Good morning,
Scheveningen is popular for its beaches and is near the Hague in the Netherlands. Your piece has its origins in the Netherlands and was probably sold to tourists visiting Scheveningen. Although valuations are not given on this website I would treasure it for its family history and emotional value rather than for its monetary value.
Many thanks for sharing your story,
Patrick
Beoordeling:
Probably made in Delft or another Dutch factory. This kind of souvenir goods are made since the first quarter of the twentieth century.
