Originele Nederlandse tegel, gemaakt in het derde kwart van de zeventiende eeuw. Hoewel tegels vaak worden omschreven als Delfts, zijn de meeste tegels buiten Delft gemaakt in onder andere Friese tegelbakkerijen, in Rotterdam, Amsterdam en Utrecht. Veel fabrieken produceerde dezelfde motieven. Het is daarom niet altijd vast te stellen waar een tegel is gemaakt.
