Mid sized round blue and white plates. One with a picture of a windmill, the other has flowers and a bird. They have holes for hanging on the rear. Both have a Delft Blauw Handpainted Made in Holland inscription on the rear with a crown and some initials.

Vraag

Are these genuine plates and is there anyway to know how old they might be?

These are made by NKI (Dutch Ceramics Industry), pasting technique and not authentic Delft. Was founded in 1947 and was active in Gouda until 2001. THE lets form a crown if you look at it closely.

Deze zijn gemaakt door NKI ( Nederlandse Keramiek Industrie ), plaktechniek, bijgeschilderd met de hand  en geen authentiek Delft. Werd in 1947 opgericht en was tot 2001 actief in Gouda. De letters vormen een kroon als men die goed bekijkt.

These plates are indeed by NKI, made in another hyve of ceramic activity in the Netherlands: Gouda. Because they are not from Delft, they are not considered Delftware, but 'in the style of Delft'. These pieces are probably post-mid-1970s as - to my knowledge - the mark with the NKI letters forming a dotted crown was used from that time.
