Possibly an inkwell by Anthonij Pennis. It has many characteristics of being genuine, but I cannot confirm the markings.
Vraag
Is this an original Anthonij Pennis inkwell from the 1700s?

This is made by Plazuid ( pottery Zuid-Holland ) from Gouda somewhere around 1940-1960 and it's a candle holder. So nothing to do with authentic blue Delft. Handpainted and made in the style of Delft.
Kind regards Franky
Thank you. I see the gate mark so that is the answer that I needed. It does have two holes on top, the smaller hole has glaze that runs down into it so I thought that was to hold a pen. Could you let me know what that second hole is for please. Thank you.

My excuses, it's indeed an inkwell. I did'n look very wel at the photo. Never the less it's made by Plazuid as said. The second hole was indeed used to hold the pen. Unfortunatly it's not complet. There should be a small glass cup to hold the ink. see below.
kind regards
