The vase comes with a cover. Vase and cover have octogonal opening. The cover opening seems to be too small compared the vase opening. A certificate is also joined.
Vraag
I would like to know if this is a original Delft vase, who was the artist and when it was handcrafted.

This is part of an octagonal ribbed cabinet set of pottery Oud Delft from Nijmegen. Matching are two beaker vases 33 cm high with product number 625 L. This vase is also listed in the 1935 catalog as available in a hexagonal version with number 620. It can be dated between 1935 and 1950. The handle of the lid is decorated with a Foo dog, derived from Chinese examples. The decoration on the cabinet sets could vary according to the customer's wishes. A possible painter (without certainty) is P.H. van Praag. His style is characterized by a certain 'fluidity' in the floral motifs, which you can also see on your vase (the decoration is full and rich, but with strong brushstrokes).
Below are some examples of combinations as a cabinet set: three-piece or even five- to seven-piece.
kind regards Franky
