This belonged to my Mother, she was born in 1935.

This is made bij pottery oud Delft at Nijmegen Holland. Most probably painted by Jaques Bitter who painted also for Ram Arnhem and Porceleyne fles.

Thank you for your detailed response. A lot of information to look over. So, it sounds like this  is a fake “delft” plate that is not hand painted, and has a mark of a non delft pottery. Am I understanding that correctly? Do you happen to know what factory made it?

It is indeed hand painted even in a very nice way. All over the Netherlands factories produced bleu Delft that in some way for sure can compeed with the " real Delft"., Gouda, Nijmegen, velsen- Sassenheim and many others.

Real Delft means that it has been produced and handpainted in one of the 32 Delft Factories. Those days there is only one remaining and that is Royal Delft ( de porceleyne fles). Even handpainted they work under the new technique with under glaze painting. The authentic Delft earthware is situated before 1850 and they painted on tin glaze.

Oud delft was one of the factories that continued working with tin glaze until about 1935.
